He has advanced training in Pain Management and has his sub specialty certification in Pain Medicine through the American Pain Society. He is Chief of Anesthesiology at Detroit Receiving Hospital/DMC and is an Associate Professor, department of Anesthesiology at Wayne State University. He has held committee positions on the Board of the American Society of Anesthesiologists. Besides his extensive knowledge of options for the treatment of pain, Dr. Perov's clinical expertise is regional anesthetic blocks for treatment of chronic pain and is a much sought after international speaker in this field. Dr. Perov participates in many clinic trials in the area of pain management. He is also instrumental in organizing the annual Advanced Regional Anesthesia: Invasive Pain Management Techniques and Regional Anesthesia Workshop sponsored by Wayne State University.
